Hit musical soap Glee inspired Sheffield and Doncaster solicitors Taylor Bracewell and Bhayani Bracewell to put new skills to the test – penning a song that won the Best Teamwork Award in the Glee Bah Business competition.

The song, apparently the second in the history of Taylor Bracewell (although no one has heard the previous attempt since 1984), was written by the team in lightning speed to hit the deadline. Based on Queen’s We are the Champions, Taylor Bracewell and Bhayani Bracewell’s We are the Lawyers was a perfect way to inject a bit of fun into highlighting the firm’s core values: ‘We are the lawyers my friends and we fight for you to the end…’

Employment solicitor Katie Beal (far left) says: ‘It really was fantastic fun. It’s not often we get to put our minds to something un-legal. We’re no musical maestros and most of us couldn’t hold a tune in a bucket (me most certainly!), but as with any challenge, legal or not, we gave it our all, and with the help of the Really Neet College and Higher Rhythm Recording Studios, we are just delighted that we managed to pull it off and support such a good cause as the Master Cutler’s Challenge. We enjoyed the challenge so much and the team award really was an added bonus. It is fantastic that people outside the firm can see the sense of teamwork we have within it.’

The lyrics to Taylor Bracewell and Bhayani Bracewell’s We are the Lawyers can be read at the website. Apparently, callers to the firm will also be able to listen to a performance on the telephone hold system.
