Miles, Monk, Parker, Mingus, Coltrane - they all left great jazz legacies. Could you also leave a legacy to jazz?

The National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO) is the UK’s preeminent provider of jazz education. Its flagship jazz orchestra has been the country’s top young professional (under 26) jazz orchestra since our founding in 1965, performing around 40 concerts annually and acting as a gateway to the music profession.

We know that jazz, as a highly communicative and accessible art form, can transform lives. However jazz is underfunded, and our national jazz education infrastructure underdeveloped, compared to other music genres. So while our methods for developing and inspiring the next generation of jazz musicians are proven, our reach is currently limited by resources.

Income from NYJO’s public engagements and support from Arts Council England only funds half of what we currently do. That’s why we need your support. Your gift will help us take the jazz message to an even wider audience, and level the playing field to ensure every young person can reach their potential through jazz.

NYJO is a charity, which means any gift will be deducted from your estate before inheritance tax. Thank you for helping us secure the future of British jazz.
